Cargill has announced plans to build a 350 million dollar canola processing facility in Regina.
Cargill says the facility will support the growing global demand for canola products.
The company plans to begin construction early next year with plans to be operational by early 2024.
The company will also modernize its canola facilities in Clavet, Saskatchewan and Camrose, Alberta to increase volume at both locations.
The new facility in Regina will have annual production of 1 million tons and create 50 full-time jobs.
Cargill is expanding its North American oilseeds market and announced last month 475 million dollars for U.S. soybean processing facilities.
