Red Sox pick up a 6-1 win over 57’s

 

 

The Regina Red Sox moved over the .500 mark (10-9) with a 6-1 win over the Swift Current 57’s on Monday night at Currie Field.

Right fielder Mike Piazza had three RBIs while second baseman Justin Simard had three hits for the Red Sox.

Daniel Crabtree recorded the win going six innings, allowing no earned runs and posting five strikeouts.

Regina will now head out on the road for their next five games. On Tuesday night, the Red Sox will head to Weyburn to meet the Beavers.

Following that game, the Red Sox will play their next four games in Alberta including a pair of games  in Lethbridge and then another two games in Okotoks.

Next action at Currie Field is next Tuesday when the Red Sox entertain the Medicine Hat Mavericks.
