Saskatchewan will have to wait a little bit longer to have their day in court to fight the carbon tax.

The Supreme Court of Canada has moved both Saskatchewan and Ontario’s carbon tax appeals to September.

The appeals were originally scheduled to go forward last month, but were postponed along with all other cases scheduled for March, April, and May when the court shut down due to COVID-19.

The court will hear four hearings, including three criminal trials, over video conference in June.

The court has agreed to hear both province’s carbon tax cases, and two other unrelated cases in September.

All other cases have been rescheduled for the court’s fall sitting, which starts October 5th.
