SaskTel says first phase of Rural high speed internet project is nearly complete

 

SaskTel has announced the first phase of its 100 million dollar rural fibre initiative is over 95 percent complete.

The first phase allows the communities of Balgonie, Biggar, Langham, and Pilot Butte can now connect to Infinet service, with extremely fast internet speeds.

Phase two includes Kindersley, Meadow Lake and Rosetown, and construction has already started in Kindersley and soon begin in the other two communities.

The 100 million dollar, 4 phase program will bring high speed internet service to over 60 thousand residents and businesses across 45 rural communities by the end of next year.
