The age restrictions for COVID vaccinations across the province is dropping Wednesday, but not as much as expected.

Saskatchewan residents over the age of 42 will be able to receive their COVID vaccines across the province, with the exception of the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District, where residents 30 and older will be able to receive the vaccine.

It was initially reported that residents 40 years and older were going to be able to receive the vaccine, but now 40-and-41-year-old’s will need to wait until Friday, as well as all priority workers such as teachers, police officers and fire fighters outside of the age restriction.

Those priority workers will need to bring recent proof of employment as well as their health card in order to receive their shot.
