One man arrested, police looking for another suspect after Thursday night assault

Regina Police are searching for a second suspect connected to an aggravated assault that happened Thursday night.

One man has already been charged for the incident that sent a 32-year-old victim to hospital with head injuries.

At around 8:50 pm Thursday, RPS responded to the 1900 block of Scarth Street for a report of a man who had been assaulted by two suspects,

Early investigation found that the suspects were on foot, running east on 11th Avenue. A patrol car was able to locate and stop one suspect, and the second man kept running.

The K-9 Unit’s search of the area was unsuccessful due to the amount of people in the area. Investigators continue to try and find the second man. The victim was taken to hospital and treated for several injuries.

22-year-old Colin Rodney Netmaker, from Regina, is charged with aggravated assault.

Netmaker made his first court appearance in court Friday afternoon.
