QB Bryan Bennett signs with Saskatchewan Roughriders

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed a new Quarterback.

Bryan Bennett joins the Riders for the second time, as he was first signed by the club in November of 2016 before being cut during training camp in 2017. He played last season in Winnipeg and dressed for all 18 games, and also had a short stint with the Indianapolis Colts.

During his college days at Southeastern Lousiana, Bennett threw for 5,522 yards and 39 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,715 yards and 31 touchdowns.

The Riders also announced Sunday that they signed offensive lineman Kwabena Asare to the practice roster.

Asare spent last season with the Edmonton Eskimos on their practice roster. The Brampton, Ontario native dressed in 23 games for the Carleton University Ravens before heading to the CFL.
