Red Sox begin five-game homestand with a doubleheader against Medicine Hat

Currie Field will be a busy place this week as the Regina Red Sox will play five games over the next four days at their home park.

On Tuesday night, the Red Sox will host the Medicine Hat Mavericks in a doubleheader beginning at 6:00 with the two teams competing in a pair of seven inning games.

Tomorrow night, Regina will welcome the Brooks Bombers for a two game series. Wednesday’s game will also be Prostate Cancer Awareness night at the diamond.

The Bombers will then return to Currie Field the following evening to finish off the short series in Regina.

To wrap up the week, the Red Sox will renew the Trans Canada Highway Clash with the Moose Jaw Miller Express at Currie Field. So far, Moose Jaw leads the season series 3-1.

This past weekend, Regina travelled to Alberta for a four-game road trip with matchups against the Lethbridge Bulls and Okotoks Dawgs. The Red Sox split the two games in Lethbridge before dropping both games in Okotoks.

Regina is in third place of the WCBL’s Eastern Division at 11-13, they’re 0.5 back of the Mavericks for second place in the division. Moose Jaw leads the way at 15-9.
